Powys Wedding Photography - Lucy & Rich's Marquee Wedding

Marquee Wedding

The rural area that I'm lucky enough to live in lends itself enormously to a marquee wedding, especially if the weather is nice.  Lucy & Rich's wedding was no different, although I'll be honest and admit that when I met up with them for their engagement photographs and they talked me through the plans for the wedding day, I couldn't quite see how the marquee was going to fit.  But fit it did and how wrong could I have been?!

Bridal preparation began over at Lucy's family home which I believe is just over the border into England, which technically made this an international wedding for me, before making the short journey to the rather quaint little church at Huntington.  Once the formalities had been conducted it was a quick hop into a vintage car and a short journey over to the marquee reception.

The views on such a sunny day were glorious, the location was perfect.  Rich's speech was also a particular highlight, with not a dry eye in the house, and in the words of the groom himself... 'I've got this..."

As the day turned to evening and evening turned to night the party got started.  Having photographed a previous wedding that they had both been guests at, I was pretty sure I knew what to expect.  They didn't let me down, although talking of down, Lucy did take a tumble on to the floor from high up on another guests shoulders at one point!  A little bit shaken she carried on like a pro though.  Although I can't quite remember if this was before or after the bridal stage dive!!  It was that sort of party.

As always it was great to work with new suppliers including the lovely Emma Haines Holistic Beauty on make-up duties and the equally lovely Eclipz with the hair.  Accasion Marquee's doing a great job with the marquee as well.

Take a look at a few from a thoroughly enjoyable day.
