Gemma & Joe, Lingen Church and Willey Hall
A Laid Back Affair
A few weeks back in June I spent the day photographing Gemma & Joe's wedding out in the countryside near Presteigne. A rather damp few days previous didn't bode well for the wedding day itself, but thankfully the weather held and even the sun made a welcome appearance. It was a pleasure working for both Gemma and Joe, a couple who are very much laid back and this was no different for the big day itself. Everything was done at a leisurely pace sort of as and when it happened, which to me is just perfect.
The reception venue itself, near Gemma's home farm in Willey, was great, with some fabulous views. A word about the wedding food also (I like my food), boy did it look good. Very, very appetising indeed!! I have also never seen a dance floor fill up so quick as it did after the first dance. It was jam packed from that moment until the moment I left a few hours later, although it did make getting photo's a little more difficult. I have it on good authority that it stayed that way until well into the night as well.
Oh, and the highlight of the day? Well for me personally it was Joe on stage with the band, rocking out to AC/DC's Highway to Hell on his guitar!
Here's a few photo's from their wedding day...
