Jess & Ricci, St. Beuno's Berriew and Maesmawr Hall

Jess & Ricci

The beginning of June saw me make a trip north to photograph the wedding of Jess & Ricci, a wedding that I'd been looking forward to since I first met with them.  Preparations started at Jess' family farm near Garthmyl, before the ceremony at St Beuno's church in Berriew and finally on to the fabulous Maesmawr Hall.

The great British sunshine actually made an appearance (some might say a novelty), apart from one nasty shower which somehow seemed to be timed to perfection for the moment when we arrived at Maesmawr Hall for the reception drinks!  A shower that also coincided with ever forgetful me leaving my camera bag sat outside the church on it's own as I rushed to get to the reception venue - once again a HUGE thank you to that person who picked it up and brought it back for me.

Jess turned up to the church in style, well I thought it was, in what I believe was a Mk2 Ford Escort rally car.  The church at St Beuno's I feel should get also get a mention as it looked great on the day.

Back at Maesmawr everybody was looked after by Lee, who himself is a real credit to the establishment, then when that nasty shower finished and the sun came out everybody was able to get outside and enjoy the great open spaces they have there.  The light in particular later on in the evening was amazing and I think we got some great photo's from it.

One final highlight in particular from the reception was the father of the bride speech.  I won't repeat what was said, but one specific line had me in stitches!

One last thing and that is to say a big thank you to both sets of families, I felt like you both welcomed me in with open arms which in turn makes my job a lot easier.

Here's a few from their day...
